‘Making the scene GREEN'

UMEF's mission is to motivate and encourage event organizations to work with Corporate Social Responsibility, locally and worldwide. Together with the Fair Climate Fund, UMEF advises on sustainable climate awareness. By doing this, a significant reduction in CO2 emissions is realized. The Fair Climate Fund performs annual checks to make sure that the agreed criteria are followed. By fulfilling a certain criteria an affiliated organization may obtain the UMEF trade mark. Once this trade mark is obtained it is required that a certain percentage of the actual ticket sale per event is donated to UMEF. Paradiese Festival is partly organized in co-operation with UMEF. The profit will be divided amongst four chosen charity organizations that support causes for humanity, wildlife and nature; both locally and worldwide. UMEF strives on working together on unique nonprofit festivals. The following charities will be financially supported in 2011; Ipauratu (Columbia), Live Build (Cameroon), Start Impuls (the Netherlands) and one more will be announced that focuses on the protection of endangered wildlife and nature.
