Philosophy:
Once upon a time... fate brought six friends together with one shared passion, named music. It sounds like a fairytale, but crazy enough this fairytale has become reality. The Bar27 collective has it's roots deeply melted in the Amsterdam underground scene. It started with 6 roommates and an empty basement. Slowly the basement became a melting pot of different musical influences, ideas and creativity.
It all started as a demonstrating force against the narrow-minded laws and rules in the Amsterdam clubscene like the much to early closing times of clubs. As a backlash we started organizing little afterparties in this basement. These ‘afters' grew quick to mythical proportions, partly because many of the worlds biggest Dj's and producers have visited this basement that soon got baptized into Bar27. A name given to us by the visitors of our infamous afterparties.
These days Bar27 has professionalized and consists of 5 Dj's, 2 live-acts and a handful of visual artists. Bar27 has grown into a professional, artistic an eccentric collective which main features are organising clubnights and events throughout the Netherlands, hosting festival-stages and bringing our own interpretation of house-music and partying. In combination with our contemporary style and passion, Bar27 brings positive energy, luck, love and rockin' beats in an exceptional mix of house & techno.
Besides organising parties, Bar27 also contents the bookingsagency ‘Bar27 Bookings' , representing all Bar27 resident artists and the B27 label on which our own artists (partly in collaboration with others) will be releasing soon.
Because of the enthusiasm, the love, the energy, the happiness and the creativity we think everything is possible. All the ingredients are present in Bar27. Music, crowds, decoration and the ability to create a nice atmosphere! An atmosphere we would like to share with the bigger public. An atmosphere like we think it's supposed to be on parties and events. An atmosphere of music, freedom and love : "Live life, Love music! Has become our motto, to the fullest! We've worked hard for the last four years to live up to this motto and with success. Bar27 has developed itself into a party of significance within the Dutch house-scene. Bar27 did hostings at a.o Voltt (Paradiso), Mysteryland, Mr.Stubnitz and the Amsterdam Dance Event and there a many more things to come......................"Live life, Love music!
